Designing Professional Learning Opportunities and Developing Culture Around "Lead Your Learning"
Creating a district wide system for professional learning that embodies the vision and standard for high-quality professional learning has been a primary responsibility in the Teaching and Learning Department. I have facilitated the development of the district's professional learning opportunities to create and support effective professional learning aligned to our mission, vision, and core beliefs. There are several examples of this in my work with the department. I would like to particularly highlight the collaborative effort to create a culture of "Lead Your Learning" of our three annual Creation Days. Several key stakeholders have played a critical role in making these days a success- however in facilitating and collaborating in it's design takes a keep sense of vision and intentional reflection around the alignment with the District's vision and goals. The artifact shared is the work done to help build an experience that meets teachers where they are at with realizing the vision and aligning their work with our goals.
I have intentionally ensured that each offering and expo exhibit adheres to the vision and standards for high-quality professional learning. However, even deeper -we are working hard as a department to provide our teachers an experience that is "authentic, innovative, connected, and inspired". This further serves as a scaffold to the impact of student learning.
This Artifact will demonstrate a collaboratively written purpose statement that aligns with HSSD's vision.

316 Program
I have created and coordinated the HSSD 316 Program in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Department, Literacy Coaches, and Special Education Department. In an effort to build teacher capacity and leadership in Literacy and address our achievement gaps, the 316 program has developed already 40 teachers. This effort has helped support the vision and goals in our Literacy Plan.

AVMR Grant and Action Team Work
In my principalship practicum I worked at Lineville Intermediate School to dig deeper into understanding the achievement gap in our 5th and 6th Grade Math Achievement. Upon our data analysis and findings, we together wrote a grant to fund AVMR implementation at Lineville Intermediate School. We wanted to begin our work in developing a continuum of supports for our learners.
